ERTW’s representative entertainment matters include:
- Representing the talent agents of the creators and executive producers of a hit television series in a breach of contract action against the studio that distributed the series. The case involved complex contract accounting issues relating to “net” and “adjusted gross” profits.
- Representing Glenn Miller Productions in a licensing dispute with the heirs of the Glenn Miller estate involving the operation of the Glenn Miller Orchestra in the United States and abroad. The case resulted in a published Ninth Circuit decision.
- Representing a major studio and television producer in a stolen title/stolen idea action seeking to enjoin the airing of the premier episode of a television series on network television.
