Adam J. Thurston
Mr. Thurston’s commitment and energy have made him a spirited representative of clients facing any type of legal problem. His practice covers a broad spectrum, from breach of contract claims to large-scale class actions and multi-district litigations. He has handled claims involving entertainment industry profit participations, trademark and trade dress infringement, copyright infringement, minority shareholder claims, partnership dissolutions, fraud, and trade secrets. Mr. Thurston’s proficiency for understanding and presenting complex technical information has served his clients well in commercial breach of warranty cases involving such things as space hardware, industrial machinery, and printed circuit boards, as well as in high stakes products liability actions involving such things as commercial aircraft, furnaces, and food service products. Mr. Thurston has successfully defended corporate clients in a variety of consumer representative and class actions involving alleged violations of federal RICO and securities laws, unfair competition, trade secrets, and false advertising. He has extensive trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts.
Mr. Thurston began his legal career at Bryan Cave LLP in 1992. He became a partner at Bryan Cave in 2001.
Mr. Thurston graduated magna cum laude from Boston University in 1988, and received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University in 1992. He serves the Santa Monica Bar Association as a Board member and as the Chair of its Entertainment Section.
